Paypal scam. Somebody paid me US$8.00 into my paypal account. I can't use the money to pay for my ebay purchases and I cant withdraw it. the money just sits there.
been having the same problem with my paypal withdrawal. i withdrew the money to my eon account on january 24. till now my status shows "pending". i just assumed that it's taking it this long because it's my first paypal transaction.
i read the links you provided. 1 month of waiting for the money to reflect on one's bank account is damn too long!
i read the other thread. katana_hunter's withdrawal to his bank account took only 1 day for "pending" to change to "completed". and he was using paypal's new feature there, huh!
If you type this on google "Paypal January 24" you will see that Paypal had to do some maintenance on that day which most likely affected all the withdrawals on January 24th and January 25th (the time they did their maintenance).
Status of our withdrawals are still pending as of this day.
I am sure that many have done a withdrawal on January 24th and January 25th that are having the same problems too.
The only solution if for you to call long-distance to Paypal and tell them about the problem. then it will take another week or two for it to get fixed!
In short, of course not everyone was affected. Only those that withdrew on January 24th and January 25th. But there was no announcement on the Paypal website regarding the maintenance etc.
If the withdrawal is pending try to let your bank know of this. I remember before when I buy sa ebay.com and nirerefuse payment kasi nasa Philippines ako irerefund nila then I have to write a dispute letter, fax or email it with some other things, one month ang refund although sa ebay processed na. Lately 2 or 3 days na lang. Visa kasi ang magnonotify sa Eon so let the people at Union Bank know.
My Credit Card withdrawals are still pending since January 24th.

Please note that this isn't my first withdrawal to credit card. All the others were successful. It is this one made on January 24th that has been pending.
what exactly did they tell you? will the problem be addressed soon? i emailed them yesterday about the same problem. am still waiting for a response...
This is the 2nd time it is happening to me. It took more than a month for them to resolve and credit my account then I had to do another withdrawal to credit card and hope that the pending becomes completed.
So far, there are no responses to any emails that I have sent. I heard that they respond after 2 weeks due to the bulk of emails that they receive.
After their response, they will investigate as to why there was a computer glitch of the "pending" and then that is when they will send a "credit" to your account.
This is a long process and it could take a month. What sucks is that I need the money badly to pay for my bills!
Also, no one answer my emails. Paypal should notify us properly about this problem and it has been 8 days already that our withdrawals are in Pending status.
Just to update everyone regarding this disappointing Paypal issue concerning Pending Paypal Withdrawals to Credit Card:
After more than 1 week of emails... no response.
After 30 minutes (at least) of talking to customer service & waiting for the automated "waiting system"... nothing still happened. My withdrawals are still on Pending Status.
The customer service said it is normal since things get credited within 7 etc days. I told the customer service that yes it is normal only after the status is COMPLETED.
I had to explain that the status is PENDING and therefore no matter what, even after 7 days of waiting, nothing will be credited. It only gets credited only after the status becomes COMPLETED.
My suggestion is for more people to call their customer service so that they will realize that this is already widespread.
I have a feeling that the majority of Credit Card withdrawals from the Jan. 23 upto Jan. 31st will have this problem. Just a guess.
I thought it was only on the 24th & 25th of January but I am beginning to see other people having the same problem even after the 25th and before the 24th.
This is not good.
Xoom is glitch-free although it is a bit slower & complex for buyers.
Hi, We are one of the sellers who are also caught in the PENDING situation but ours started on January 22 and 23 which was 21th and 22nd in the U.S. We have made several withrawals since that time and everything is still PENDING . Has anyone thought how much money PAYPAL makes if they put all these PENDING FUNDS in an interest bearing account hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. you dont suppose ???? How much do you suppose corporate profits go up on a Worldwide glitch????? We just wanted to let you know that the problem is not only on the 24th but also earlier. We sell on U.S. ebay but of course live in the Phil.Do you suppose when we tell our local bill collectors for the monthly bills that we have a glitch and they should get their money on PAYPAL they will understand ???
Mine is also still pending... based on what I read in other forums, Paypal can only do a trace of the pending withdrawal after 15 days from the date of the withdrawal. But it is not clear on when it will be credited.
Wow, there is a new blog-entry at Pinoymoneytalk regarding this Paypal Pending Withdrawals. With this news all over... why does Paypal not want to do anything?
I am a new ebay member. I verified and linked my paypal to my ebay account a week ago but I still can not insert items. The error message annouces that I need to bee linked... Hope there is a solution soon!

yeah, mine too is still pending.. withdrawal done last 01/24 and its still pending until now 02/05.. i've already messaged support but after reading here that they don't respond then what can we do?
Now I do not wonder why there are anti-Paypal sites. Please take a look at the Malaysia Ebay forum too... they are also affected by these pending withdrawals... and some of them still do not know about it.
Instead of Paypal being there to help in our business plans, it is actually damaging our business since we need the cash to keep our business running properly.
Did Paypal just open here in the Philippines and Malaysia and other new countries just to trap some money?
The problem is not with EON definitely.
Paypal please read what is going on over here. We are suffering because of these pending withdrawals.
I hope that Paypal makes an official announcement soon instead of ignoring all the please of the people. I am sure they are not stupid that they do not know what is going on.
From Jerome Locson's blog, someone posted a response from Paypal. It was just a response and not a solution to the problem yet. All "pendings" are still pending.

actually, this started on the 21st of January.. I made $500 withdrawal that day, and it is still pending... my friend who made a withdrawal last January 20th got lucky his withdrawal completed that day same day... and I am very sad now.. My b-day will be a sad day 'coz the money I am going to use for the party is still pending...
